- Hospital, emergency department, ambulance, specialist, imaging, laboratory, medication, compounded medication, peptide, GLP-1, or supplement costs, unless stated in writing.
- Emergency or continuously monitored after-hours care. Call 911 for urgent or life-threatening symptoms.
- Services that need an in-person exam, testing, or a higher level of care than telehealth can safely provide.
- Unlimited extended functional-medicine visits or medication-specific protocol monitoring beyond your plan's stated benefits.

Is this health insurance?
No. Apex Direct is a cash-pay practice; we don't bill insurance or submit claims. Membership covers your ongoing relationship with your medical provider. We strongly recommend keeping major medical or catastrophic coverage for hospital, emergency, and specialist costs.
Can I use it if I already have insurance?
Yes. You can keep a high-deductible plan for emergencies and use Apex Direct for everyday care, because a $59 month can cost less than a single visit billed against an unmet deductible.
What does it cost to start, and can I cancel?
Memberships bill monthly with no annual contract. New memberships have a one-time $99 enrollment fee for your intake, history review, goal setting, and baseline lab review. Cancel any time with 30 days' written notice.
Are labs, medications, and peptides included?
They're billed separately, at member rates. That includes labs, prescriptions, compounded medications, peptides, and GLP-1 products, unless a written program says otherwise. You'll see the price before you agree to anything.
How do peptide prescriptions work?
Every peptide starts with a Peptide Therapy Consultation & Protocol Design visit ($129). Your medical provider reviews your history, explains the evidence and the FDA status of what you're asking about, and designs a protocol only if it's appropriate. Some peptides aren't FDA-approved, and some aren't right for everyone.
Can my kids be members?
Yes, through a Family membership. Each child has their own enrollment, consent, and medical record, and a parent or legal guardian enrolls and takes part in care for a minor.
What if something urgent happens?
Same-day telehealth visits are available for a $40 add-on. For anything life-threatening, call 911 or go to an emergency room. Telehealth can't replace an in-person exam when one is needed, and your medical provider will tell you when that's the case.
